Migdalia Arcila-Valenzuela

I am an ABD candidate in philosophy at Cornell University and the 2025 Robert M. Adams-Charlotte W. Newcombe fellow in philosophy. I earned a B.A. in philosophy and literature from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia (where I am originally from) and an M.A., magna cum laude, in philosophy from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

My research areas include ethics, moral psychology, philosophy of race, feminist epistemology, and Latin American philosophy. Other interests include bioethics, history and philosophy of psychiatry and non-Western feminism.
